Clerks to Governors can now achieve formally accredited qualifications for their competent performance as a clerk of a school's governing body.  

Programmes of study and assessment towards the BTEC Advanced Certificate in Administration and Support of the Governing Body are available through a collaborative project by Belfry Associates and West Sussex Governor Services.

Programmes of study and assessment towards the Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Award for Clerks to Governors are available through collaborative projects between Belfry Associates and Governor Services of the Local Authorities of East Sussex, Kent and Medway.  There are plans to extend this project to include additional local authorities.
